It was great hearing from the Sheriff’s officers about their work at the Carroll County Jail and their coordination of work details in the community. Burning issues at the jail include the treatment of mental health problems and the time and costs to the county involved. There are 682 beds in the jail, but the number of inmates that pass through is over 7,000 per year.
