John Marvin “Big John” Noland, age 66 of Whitesburg, Georgia, passed away on April 6, 2018 at his residence. He was born November 30, 1951 in Fulton County, Georgia, the son of the late Harlan Bryant Noland and the late Betty Josephine Griffin Noland. He had worked as a truck driver for over twenty years and was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ransom Noland, a brother, Jerald Noland, and a great grandchild, Brentley Mann.
Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law: Tanya & Donnie Allen of Temple, Georgia, and Amanda Sanford of Whitesburg, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Tim & Kathy Noland of Whitesburg, Georgia; sisters and brother-in-law: Judy & Phillip Landrum of Douglasville, Georgia, and Betty Jean Sterling of Sharpsburg, Georgia; brothers and sisters-in-law: Jeff & Robin Noland of Statham, Georgia, and Joey & Lorraine Noland of Douglasville, Georgia; thirteen grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. David Haag officiating.
Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens with Michael Dempsey, Cory Dempsey, John John Dempsey, Cameron Noland, Scott Chambers, and Bobby Richardson serving as pallbearers.
