Linda “Gayle” Yates, age 72 of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at her residence. She was born January 14, 1946 in Carroll County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Earl Rigsby and the late Vera Doris Ward Rigsby. She was employed with Style Center for over twenty-five years, and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Steve Jackson and a grandson, Bradley Lea.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Yates of Carrollton, Georgia; two daughters, Marlene Jackson of Carrollton and Rhonda Omedeo of Villa Rica, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Garry & Linda Rigsby of Fairburn, Georgia; eight grandchildren: Wesley (Farrah) Jackson, Blake Lea, Kane Jones, Gino Omedeo, Gage Omedeo, Zack Omedeo, and Abbi Omedeo; and four great grandchildren: Layla Lea, Lily Lea, Ava Jackson, and Mia Kate Jackson.
Services will be conducted Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Dr. Stephen Peeples officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Blake Lea, Kane Jones, Scott Rigsby, Chris Parson, Dwayne Yates, and Charles Rogers.
Those seated as honorary pallbearers will be Walter Driver, Gino Omedeo, Gage Omedeo, Zack Omedeo, and Jerry Lassetter. Entombment will follow at Carroll Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, family request memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org.
