Today, Lt. Governor Casey Cagle joined Governor Nathan Deal in announcing that Hanwha Q CELLS Korea – a leading solar cell manufacturer – will invest $150 million and create 500 new private sector jobs in Dalton.
“It’s a privilege to join Governor Deal in welcoming Hanwha Q CELLS Korea to Dalton, recognizing this announcement’s impact will be even greater than the $150 million investment and 500 new jobs created – which add to North Georgia’s strong economic momentum. Our diverse economy is built on hubs of economic innovation statewide, and we look forward to continuing to increase the global solar industry’s investment in our state,” said Lt. Governor Cagle.
“Working with Governor Deal, we’ve enacted the largest income tax cut in state history, reformed government and streamlined regulations, while building up our College and Career Academy network to include more than 30,000 students. The results are clear: time and time again, Georgia has proven we are the nation’s best state for business with a workforce pipeline that is second to none.”
Specializing in developing high-quality photovoltaic modules, Hanwha Q CELLS Korea expects to complete their new Dalton facility in 2019. More information on Hanwha Q CELLS Corporation is available at: http://www.hanwha-qcells.com.
