ATLANTA – This Saturday, October 27, 2018, the polls will be open in all 159 counties for voting leading up to the November 6, 2018 election. Secretary of State Brian Kemp encourages all eligible voters to take advantage of early voting this weekend and make their voices heard.

“If you haven’t voted already, this Saturday is a great opportunity to vote early in your county. With a record-breaking number of registered voters in our state, helpful resources to get personalized voting information, and expanded early voting opportunities, it has never been easier to take part in the electoral process, and I encourage all eligible Georgians to make their voices heard in this election,” stated Secretary Kemp.

Georgia has nearly 7,000,000 registered voters – an all-time record – eligible to take part in this November’s election. Already, voters have cast 944,412 ballots – 819,484 in-person and 124,928 by mail – in the early voting period. By this time in 2016’s presidential election, voters had already cast 1,054,959 ballots – 938,195 in-person and 116,764 by mail – in the early voting period.

Absentee by mail voting began on September 18, 2018. Early in-person voting began on October 15, 2018 and runs through November 2, 2018.
