Ida Lee Webb, age 85 of Whitesburg, passed away November 16, 2018. She was born May 07, 1933 in Griffin, Georgia, daughter of the late Leonard Paul Nelms and Mary Elizabeth Shivers Nelms. She retired from Wellington Mills in 1997 after having served there more than 30 years.
She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Winston, Georgia.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons, Larry Ziegler and Anthony Padgett; two brothers, John Paul Nelms and Hugh Albert Nelms; and a sister, Mary Virginia Lynch.
She is survived by her children, Janice Cofield of Whitesburg, Shirley and her husband, Troy Thomas of Whitesburg, Lisa and her husband, Robert Carter of Carrollton, Bobby Padgett of Carrollton, and Terry and his wife, Natalie Webb of Temple; grandchildren, Teresa Stubbs, Thomas Cofield, Tracy Cofield, Michael Thomas, Stephen Thomas, Greg Thomas, Adam Carter, Anna Blanton, Doc Padgett, Daniel Padgett, Tony Holloway, Shana Hulsey, and Dylan Webb; great grandchildren, Kayla Cofield, Austin Cofield, Logan Cofield, Morgan Cofield, Connor Cofield, Blake Thomas, Kailynn Thomas, Macey Thomas, Emma Thomas, Rachael Thomas, Carson Thomas, Jackson Carter, Lawson Carter, Aiden Padgett, Landyn Padgett, and Avery Padgett; two great-great grandchildren, Jaxson Smith and Paeton Shaw; sister, Betty Jane McDowell; and brother, James Edward Nelms.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 4:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Terry Worthan and Rev. Gary Brown officiating.
Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Adam Carter, Michael Thomas, Stephen Thomas, Greg Thomas, Thomas Cofield, Tracy Cofield, Dylan Webb, and Doc Padgett.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 2:00 PM until the hour of service.
