Norma Ione Dobbs Baldwin,age 88 of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 at her residence. She was born February 19, 1930 in Thomaston, Georgia, the daughter of the late Grover Dobbs and the late Ruby Lee Hogan Dobbs.
She was owner and operator of The Clip Joint for fifteen years as a dog groomer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Major John William Baldwin, son, John William Baldwin, Jr., sister, Judith Juanita Dobbs;and brothers: Thomas Dobbs and Eugene Dobbs.
Survivors include her children: Angelia Baldwin Jeffers of Villa Rica, Georgia, Norman David Baldwin of Carrollton, Georgia,and Carol Marie Kimbrell, also of Carrollton, Georgia; grandchildren: Heather JeffersWalker, Renee’ Jeffers Hooks, Tessy Baldwin Merrell, Jennifer Leigh Baldwin,David Clayton Baldwin, Robert Allen Baldwin, Daniel Colt Kimbrell, Jacob Brett Kimbrell, and Kevin Kolby Kimbrell; and twenty-one great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday,December 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in West Georgia Memorial Park with David Clayton Baldwin, Robert Baldwin, Colt Kimbrell, Brett Kimbrell, Kevin Kimbrell, and Avery Hill serving as pallbearers. Mason Merrell will be seated as an honorary pallbearer.
