The Villa Rica High School Lady Wildcats were recognized by the mayor and council at the March 12 Villa Rica City Council Meeting for their achievement in going to State Competition.

Mayor Jeff Reese spoke on the girls’ accomplishment of having  a 32 wins/1 loss season and pulling the entire city together in their support of the team.

“Trust me,” he said, “you will not remember the loss as much as the journey you traveled to get to State competition.”

Coach Tammy Norred presented the mayor with a State Championship T-shirt and expressed her pride in the team—not only their play on the court but their attitude and behavior off.
