en. Matt Brass (R – Newnan) has been appointed by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve on the Complete Count Committee.
“The census is one of the largest and most important projects our country undertakes every ten years,” said Sen. Brass. “As a state that is constantly growing, it is imperative that every Georgian is counted so that federal funds and congressional seats can be allocated appropriately. As Chairman of the Senate Reapportionment and Redistricting Committee, I know first-hand the importance of a complete and accurate count of Georgia residents. I am thankful to serve as part of this committee and I look forward to working with Gov. Kemp and my fellow committee members to ensure that every resident of Georgia is counted on the upcoming census.”
The Complete Count Committee was established through executive order and “will ensure every resident of Georgia is counted in the 2020 U.S. Census.” The Committee is composed of 66 leaders from across the state and will be chaired by Rusty Haygood of the Department of Community Affairs and Anna Miller of the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget.
