Join the LaGrange Sierra Club on Tuesday, January 21 at St Mark’s Parish Hall, 207 North Greenwood, from 6:30 – 8:00 for its monthly meeting featuring Journey of a Metamorphic Vision: Solo Mini Bus Travel to the West, Burning Man and Beyond by Janet Westervelt.

Janet will present her recent, fascinating cross-country drive to 8 National Parks, 21 states, Burning Man and other points west in the mini school bus (“skoolie”) she converted into a travel RV. Take a peek inside Janet’s skoolie before our meeting. See her remarkable photos taken during two trips (11 weeks & 15,000 miles) and learn about her solo camping on BLM & NFS land, a visit to the Arizona Rubber Tramp Rendezvous (a gathering of folks living in their vehicles full time) and to Burning Man– an extraordinary annual event in the Nevada desert.

Janet is a long-time Sierra Club leader,  [I was on Atlanta and GA ExCom, Membership Chair, Outings Leader, Adopt-A-Stream Coordinator…], former Headwaters Outreach Manager for the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and Administrator/Teacher for Montessori Schools. She lives in Demorest, GA.
