MG Volunteer of the Year

Cherrie Glover

Since starting as a Master Gardener Extension volunteer in 2010, Mrs. Glover has volunteered over 2,000 hours during her 10 years of service.

She volunteers weekly in the Master Gardener office at the Extension office assisting the community with their horticulture questions.  She maintains a flower bed in the Buffalo Creek Garden and the flowers and plants at the Carroll County Ag Center.

Mrs. Glover works with Providence, Bay Spring, and Ithica’s school garden program teaching students about gardening.  She is past President of the Carroll County Master Gardener Association and has been a member of countless committees for the organization over the years including Junior Master Gardeners and Heritage Days.

Mrs. Glover continues to be a key Master Gardener volunteer and is always willing to step up and serve.  She always greets you with a smile and her energy for horticulture and life is contagious.
