The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce will host a Membership Luncheon on Wednesday, October 19, from 11:30 – 1:00 at City Station in Carrollton with guest speaker Chris Clark, President & CEO of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. The luncheon is sponsored by SFC Intermodal.
Since mid-March, Clark has crisscrossed the state of Georgia, presenting “The New Georgia Economy.” The program focuses on the economic outlook for the state and region, addressing the labor crisis, creating a diversified economy, and building infrastructure. The program also provides a forum to learn more about long-term needs and share ideas to improve prosperity for Georgians.
For over a century, the Georgia Chamber has focused on advocacy for free enterprise, policy development, business and economic development, events, and engagement opportunities. It provides numerous Chamber Services for small businesses. Today the Georgia Chamber represents over 50,000 members in 159 counties and works with 161 local and binational chambers daily.
A Georgia native, Chris Clark, has served as the President and CEO of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce since 2010. Chris previously served as Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Executive Director of the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority, and Deputy Commissioner for the Department of Economic Development, among other positions. He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and Georgia College and State University.
