Iva Maxwell, age 79 of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Monday afternoon, February 19, 2018 at her residence. She was born March 16, 1938, in Carrollton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Johnny Driver and the late Florene Horsley Driver.
She was a retired manager with the Quik Thrift at the Triangle, having worked there for twenty-five years. She was a member of Bethany Christian Church, was an avid beekeeper and gardener, and she enjoyed square dancing with the Haymakers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy G. Maxwell; sons, Donny Maxwell and Tommy Maxwell; and a brother, Doverd Driver.
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Brenda Maxwell of Carrollton, and Donna and Jerry Robinson, also of Carrollton; sister, Lovie Haynes of Carrollton; brother, David Driver of Temple; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Minister Allen Howard and Pastor Michael Gilreath officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Christian Cemetery.
