Kerry Lee Smith, age 52 of Carrollton, passed away April 18, 2018. He was born December 24, 1965 in Carrollton, Georgia son of Preston K. Smith and Carolyn Harper Pike.

He was a 1983 Central High School graduate. He retired from Delta Airlines and before his health failed he worked as a truck driver for Tru Lite. He was a member of Catalyst Church.

He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Leamon and Ezel Harper; and paternal grandparents, William L and Joyce L. Smith.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Lunsford Smith of Carrollton; mother, Carolyn Harper Pike of Carrollton; father and step-mother, Preston and Peggy Smith of Graham, AL; children, Timothy “T.J.” Smith of Carrollton, Conner Smith of Carrollton, Ray Ballew of Bowdon, Amanda Chavez of Douglasville, and Kristy Keever of Clarksville, TN; brother, Michael Smith of Carrollton; nine grandchildren, and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Pastor Ben Bonner and Pastor Derek Harper officiating. Entombment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Those serving as pallbearers: will be Matthew Alexander, Cristian Chavez, Caleb Mattingly, Mark Harper, Michael Harper, and Joel Neeley. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
