IT’S JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!!!

YIKES!! The closing bell for this school year is about to sound and you are looking for fun things for the kids to do this summer. Everyone likes sowing seeds and potting plants and watching them grow. And we all get that thrill seeing them produce our favorite flowers and veggies. And face it, what could be more fun than playing in the dirt?

Sponsored by the Carroll County Master Gardeners, Camp Dirty Knees offers great fun with a horticulture flavor. At CDK, your children can spend the morning outdoors in a safe environment with others their age learning different aspects of gardening. Our schedule this year is packed with activities and games meant to educate in the most fun way… by making and doing stuff! We will be building birdhouses with the folks from The Home Depot, planting Pizza Gardens, and square foot gardens, going on a nature walk on the Buffalo Creek Trail with The West Georgia Native Plant Society and more.

CDK 2018 will be held at the Carroll County Ag Center, 900 Newnan Rd, Carrollton on June 5th, 6th & 7th from 9:00AM to Noon each day and is open to rising third graders through eighth graders. There is a $25 fee for each child which must be submitted with the enrollment packet for that child to save the spot.

Enrollment packets will be available in the MG office at the Carroll County Ag Center or in a PDF format. If you have any questions or would like an enrollment packet in PDF form, call 770-836-8546.
