Pictured are the 2018-2019 award recipients, from left, Dajah Sheppard, Taylor Berry, Maddie Maierhofer, Andrew East and Bethany Blackman. The Carrollton Board of Education recognized the students at Tuesday night’s monthly meeting.

All are exceptional academic students. As for their other involvement, Dajah is a cheerleader and church performer, Taylor is in the band and on the CHS air rifle team, Maddie is an artist and cross country runner, Andrew is a swimmer and performing arts student, and Bethany also is a performing arts student and cross country runner. Not pictured is Dylan Mikilitus, who was recognized for being a debater and lacrosse player. He could not attend because of a game conflict.

This recognition program has gained in popularity since it was introduced in 2007, becoming one of CHS’s most prestigious awards.
