Every year during the Carrollton High School Academic Awards program, this year held April 18 at the Joshua Mabry Center for the Arts, the Teacher of the Year is announced for the upcoming school year.
Faculty-chosen, the recipient of the award then competes for the school system honor.
This year, special education teacher Ashley Sutton was selected by her peers.
