Carroll County Art Educators Exhibition, a collection of artwork from Carroll County and Carrollton city art instructors, opens August 31 and runs through September 27. Studio Practice: UWG Faculty Art Exhibition runs September 10 – October 22 and celebrates the creations of the faculty at the University of West Georgia. Both exhibits feature a diverse selection of work including painting, ceramics, drawing, photography, sculpture, video, installation, printmaking and book arts.

“These shows exemplify the individuality and imagination of art educators investigating a variety of themes such as a desire for peace, aspects of the human condition and a connection to the natural world,” said Carrollton Visual Arts Coordinator Marcella Kuykendall. “Visitors can learn how artists utilize different media to comment on and interpret a range of fascinating topics.”

An opening reception for both shows is scheduled for September 17, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., at the center.
