- First round of active weather beginning this afternoon (Tuesday)
- Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 5) for severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening along and south of the I-20 corridor in Alabama and Georgia: Primary impacts include:
- Flooding due to heavy rain and possible training of storms
- Damaging wind gusts
- Hail
- A brief tornado cannot be ruled out.
- Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 5) for severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening along and south of the I-20 corridor in Alabama and Georgia: Primary impacts include:
- Second round of active weather Wednesday, Wednesday night and Thursday morning
- East Alabama will be under a Moderate Risk (Level 4 out of 5) for severe weather for Wednesday morning and Wednesday afternoon. Primary severe impacts include:
- Strong Long Track Tornadoes
- Damaging Winds up to 80 mph
- Golf Ball Size Hail
- Heavy rain
- West Georgia will be under a Enhanced Risk (Level 3 out of 5) for severe weather Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. Primary severe impacts include:
- Tornadoes (cannot rule out a stronger, long-track tornado)
- Damaging wind gusts > 60 mph
- Hail (> 1 inch, primarily in central Georgia)
- Heavy rain
- East Alabama will be under a Moderate Risk (Level 4 out of 5) for severe weather for Wednesday morning and Wednesday afternoon. Primary severe impacts include:
