Michael Maxwell, age 68, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2024. He was born April 29, 1955, in Carrollton, Georgia, the son of the late Dillard Maxwell and Ms. Ruby Horton Maxwell.

Michael was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He grew up in Carrollton, working on the family farm and having fun with cousins and neighborhood friends. He attended Tyus Elementary School as a young boy and later attended and graduated from Central High School in 1973. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs. He was an avid reader of history and loved politics.

Michael is survived by his steadfast wife of 30 years, Kimberly Maxwell; daughters & son-in-law, Brooke & Stephen Kubik and Mary Beth Maxwell; brother & sister-in-law, Tim & Amanda Maxwell; sister, Lee Ann Maxwell; grandchildren, Maddie, Maxwell, Miles, Mary Margaret, and Mamie; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins and friends.

How lucky we have been to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.

In keeping with Michael’s wishes, his body has been cremated.
