Get ready to laugh, sing, and dance as the Carroll County Community Theatre proudly presents Something Rotten, a side-splitting musical comedy by Karey Kirkpatrick and Wayne Kirkpatrick, under the direction of the talented Taylor Buice.

Set in the 1590s, Something Rotten hilariously tells the story of Nick and Nigel Bottom, two brothers struggling to make a name for themselves in the theatrical world dominated by the legendary William Shakespeare. Frustrated by Shakespeare’s constant success, the Botton brothers embark on a riotous journey to create the world’s first musical, guided by eccentric Nostradamus.

Filled with witty humor, catchy tunes, and energetic dance numbers, Something Rotten promises an unforgettable theatrical experience for the audience. From uproarious comedy to heartwarming moments, this production has it all. Director Taylor Buice brings his unique vision and expertise to the stage, ensuring that every moment of this production bursts with creativity and entertainment. Buice’s innovative direction combined with the exceptional performances of the cast will transport audiences to a world where anything is possible. Something Rotten! is a hysterical, joyous, celebration of everything you love about the theatre.

“I am thrilled to bring this production of Something Rotten to our Carrollton audiences,” says Buice. “This musical is a delightful blend of humor, heart, and pure joy. Audiences can expect an evening filled with laughter and unforgettable music that will leave them smiling long after the final curtain.”
