Wine Country Gift Baskets is taking precautionary measures of voluntarily recalling all gift baskets produced with Acorn Baking Company raspberry crème filled cookies. During production, it was discovered that some packages of the raspberry crème filled cookies contained hazelnut crème filled cookies. Hazelnut is a tree nut and listed as one of the nine major food allergens. The allergen statement on each individual cookie package states “May Contain Traces of Peanuts, Hazelnuts, Almonds, Sesame, Sulphites” as these two cookies are produced in the same facility. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to tree nuts (hazelnuts) run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
Wine Country Gift Basket/Houdini Inc. is committed to providing only the highest quality of product and is taking this action out of an abundance of caution in the interest of consumer protection.
This recall only affects the Raspberry Crème filled cookies in gift baskets shipped from August 29, 2023 to November 21, 2023. There is no issue with any of the other food in the gift basket.
- Wine Country Gift Baskets has not experienced any problems or complaints about this product. No injuries or illnesses have been reported.
- If you have any raspberry crème filled cookies remaining, check to see if they have the correct cookie packaged inside. If the package contains a hazelnut crème filled cookie and anyone in your household is allergic to tree nuts, please discard them. Do not consume.

Doctors Scientific Organica is initiating a voluntary recall of a limited quantity of Burn Boot Camp Afterburn Grass-Fed Whey Protein Bars (60 grams) Triple Chocolate Almond flavor products due to the potential presence of foreign material, including disposable hairnet, shrink wrap and parchment paper. Foodborne foreign objects that are flexible and not sharp may cause minor injuries such as transient choking or gastrointestinal system injury.
This voluntary recall is isolated to 3 batches of Burn Boot Camp Afterburn Grass-Fed Whey Protein Bars (60 grams) Triple Chocolate Almond flavor products manufactured by Doctors Scientific Organica. This product was distributed through Burn Bootcamp retail locations, as well as online through its website to locations throughout the U.S. This recall does not involve any other products, including other varieties or flavors of protein bars.
While no illnesses or injuries have been reported, we are taking this action out of an abundance of caution after consumers contacted Burn Boot Camp about this issue.

Consumers who have purchased Burn Boot Camp Afterburn Grass-Fed Whey Protein Bars (60 grams) Triple Chocolate Almond flavor products with lot codes 181, 184 and 187 should not consume the product and should return the product to the location where it was purchased or destroy it themselves. Lot numbers are printed on the back of the foil for each bar, as well as on the bottom of each cardboard case.
We are working with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) on this voluntary recall and will cooperate with them fully.

GHGA, LLC is voluntarily recalling select fresh-cut products made from whole cantaloupe subject to a previously announced product recall initiated by Sofia Produce, LLC dba Trufresh, due to potential Salmonella contamination.
Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.
All GHGA fresh-cut fruit products associated with the recalled whole cantaloupe associated with the outbreak have expired, however consumers who have purchased these items and may have frozen them for later use are urged not to consume the products and to dispose of them immediately or return the items to their local store for a full refund.
As of November 29, there have been no illnesses reported related to GHGA fresh-cut products. According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), several illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the whole cantaloupe recalled by Sofia Produce, LLC dba Trufresh, however, as of November 29, no illnesses have been confirmed to be associated with GHGA products.
The fresh-cut fruit products containing recalled cantaloupe were distributed to Kroger stores in Alabama and Georgia, Sprouts stores in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, and Trader Joe’s retail stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The products are packaged in clear square or round plastic containers, marked with a “sell by” date and a lot code on the label. All pictures of products can be found on the link hyperlinked on the company name.
Voluntarily recalled items include the specific products, lot codes, and expiration dates below. No other products are affected.
