The Carrollton Center for the Arts will be filled with the songs and sounds of the season for the next two weeks as they present three concerts that have become local Christmas traditions.

“Music brings joy, warmth and excitement during the Christmas season,” said Center for the Arts Manager Tim Chapman. “That’s what our concerts bring to our community. The familiar, nostalgic and contemporary – and maybe a few unknowns – will be in the air at the Center for the Arts. Come enjoy the gift of music!”

The Carroll County Community Chorus kicks off the trio of shows with Christmas in Carrollton, December 8 – 9, 7:30pm each night and December 9 at 4pm. Celebrate the season as the chorus performs holiday favorites such as White Christmas, Jingle Bells and selections from the classic holiday film, Home Alone. Directed by Terry Lowry. Sponsored by United Community Bank. Tickets are $10.

The Carroll Community Wind Ensemble presents its Christmas Concert, December 12 at 7:30pm. The CWE will play favorites for the entire family and Conductor Terry Lowry will play audience requests on the piano. Tickets are $10.

The Carrollton Jazz Orchestra’s A Swingin’ Christmas! rounds out the seasonal concert series, December 14 at 7:30pm. The evening will feature performances of holiday classics and improvisations by some of the Southeast’s greatest jazz musicians. Tickets are $15, $10 for 12 and younger.
