Lynn Farmer, age 65, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Though her passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, her legacy of kindness, devotion, and joyful living will continue for generations to come.
Born in Gadsden, Alabama, Lynn was the daughter of the late Lonnie West and Beatrice Jiles. She was a woman who found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and greatest blessings time spent with her family, adventures on the road, and making memories with those she loved most. A devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, sister, and friend, Lynn’s greatest joy was always her family.
For many years, Lynn worked as a machine operator at Sony Music, where she was known for her dedication, dependability, and strong work ethic. After retirement, she embraced the opportunity to enjoy life at a slower pace, spending countless hours camping, traveling, and exploring new places alongside family and friends. Whether gathered around a campsite, planning the next trip, or simply enjoying time together, Lynn had a way of making every moment special.
Those who knew Lynn will remember her warm heart, her genuine nature, and the way she made others feel welcomed and loved. She never needed to be the center of attention; her kindness spoke for itself. Her steady presence, caring spirit, and love for her family will be deeply missed and forever treasured.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Johnny Farmer; her sons, Rocky Hughes, Houston Farmer, and Chris Gibbs; her grandchildren, Katelyn Hughes, Jackson Hughes, Avalyn Hughes, Aria Hughes, and Xander Hughes; her brother, Rance Jiles; and numerous extended family members and friends who were blessed to know and love her.
In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl West.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, in the chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home with Rev. Alvin Hunnicutt officiating. Music will be rendered by Mrs. Judy Hunnicutt. Interment will follow at Carroll Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers are Winton Akers, Tracy Bearden, Doye Thomas, Mark Miller, Rance Jiles, and Rance Jiles Jr.
Lynn’s family finds comfort in the memories she leaves behind, the laughter shared around campfires, the miles traveled together, and the love she gave so freely. While she will be greatly missed, her influence and the example of a life well lived will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
