Debra Lynn Humphries

Debra Lynn Humphries, age 68, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025. She was born on August 25, 1957, in Knox, Indiana, to Cleary Campbell Clemons and the late Walter Clemons.

Debra worked faithfully as a hostess and executive housekeeper, roles in which her warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail shone through. A devoted Christian and member of Lighthouse Apostolic Church, she served joyfully as a pastor’s wife and touched countless lives with her compassion. Debra loved her friends and family deeply. She found peace in tending to flowers and plants, cooking for those she loved. Her generous spirit and her heart for everyone will be remembered always.

She is survived by her mother, Cleary Clemons; husband, Samuel Humphries; daughters and sons-in-law, Carey and Mark Acord, Amanda and Brooks Proctor; son-in-law, Rodney Payne. Debra was a cherished grandmother to Alyshia, Alexis, Josh, Jacob, Emily, Samuel, Jordan, Uriah, Paris, Briylee, and Kynlee; and great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Willie Clemons, Mable Clemons, Vinnie Miller, Susan and Bruce Raines, Maggie and Trenton Tulledge, Frank and Helen Forsythe, Darlene and Jerry Rinehart, Daniel and Carolyn Napier, John Clemons, Manuel Clemons, and Charles Clemons; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Payne; son, Keith “Jr” Dollahan; sisters, Ann Whitfield and Barbara Ann Clemons; and her brother, Samuel Clemons.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Almon Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Watson officiating.

Interment will take place at West Georgia Memorial Park with Brooks Proctor, Mark Acord, Samuel Acord, Jordan Acord, Uriah Acord, and Karl Rebeck serving as pallbearers.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the family.

Debra’s smile was a reflection of her heart — kind, comforting, and full of grace.

Debra’s kindness, faith, and unwavering love for others leave a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
