Erma Joyce Foster Travis, age 80 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Friday, January 12, 2018.
Mrs. Travis was born in Carroll County, Georgia on June 17, 1937, the daughter of the late William Ramah Foster and Margaret Mellie Vaughn Foster. During her working career she was a cap maker for Kemet Electronic Components and she attended Peachtree Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard “Bo” Duane (Barb) Travis, Jr. of Inverness, FL, William “Bill” Hadley (Ruth) Travis of Temple; three grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and her dear companion, H. Jerry Shadrix. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, four sisters and a daughter, Bonita “Bonnie” Joyce Travis.
The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Sunday from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Monday, January 15, 2018 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Duane McManus officiating.
Pallbearers will be Shane Wood, Steven Spruill, Jonathan Steele, Jason Taylor, Chad Garland and Lee Awtrey.
Interment will be in Old Camp United Methodist Church Cemetery.
