Willard Mitchell Robertson, age 82, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024.  He was born March 18, 1941, in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. Mitchell McKay Robertson and the late Mrs. Irma Agnes Adams Robertson.

Willard served his country in the United States Air Force.  While stationed in Duluth, Minnesota, he met the love of his life, Diana Loucks, and they fell in love. After returning to Georgia, he joined the National Guard and began working for Lockheed Martin. He became a Flight Line Mechanic and Engineer. Willard was a woodworker and carved many walking sticks for his family and friends, and he also marveled at constructing model airplanes. They had many hobbies that they enjoyed together; they joined the CB club, where his handle was “Butcher Knife,” and she was Yankee Doodle,” they were members of the Square-Dancing Club, and most importantly, they were faithful members of Peachtree Baptist Church, where they loved spending time their church family. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren very much, and he will be truly missed by them and by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Sean Sealock; sisters, Brenda Morton, Juanita, Sawyer, and Agnes Charlene Webb.

Willard is survived by his loving wife, Diana Loucks Robertson; children, Wendy & Rick Bonneville, Rodney & Tammy Robertson, and James Carter; grandchildren, Andrea & Jay Alexander, Richelle Bonneville, Bethany Eubanks, K. T. DeWeever, Katie Carter, and Sierra Robertson; and great-grandchildren, Jack Alexander, Alyssa Keaton, Landon Eubanks, Nickolas Alexander, Evan Eubanks, E. J. Poiston, William Alexander, Sydney Eubanks, and Evie Eubanks.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 13th, 2024, at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Jerome Mitchell and Pastor Roger Whorton officiating. James Carter and Andrea Alexander will render the eulogy. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Post #143, and the following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Jack Alexander, Nickolas Alexander, William Alexander, Evan Eubanks, Landon Eubanks, and EJ Polston.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the hour of service.

Interment will take place on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 10:30 AM from the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
