Don’t miss the opportunity to honor the veterans of Carroll County by coming out this Thursday evening(November 8th) for Impact West Ga’s 4th annual Gala and Silent Auction. It is going to be a lovely evening with Camerata. There will be coffee and desserts as you browse the many wonderful items to bid on.
Every year, the DESERVE program, gives us a chance to pause and honor the sacrifices, courage, and patriotism of the men and women who have worn a military uniform. America is the land of opportunity, a beacon of hope and freedom to the rest of the world. The month of November is our campaign to Give Up a Cup in honor of these brave men. You can go on our website at www.impactwestga.org and click on DESERVE and on the drop down tab click on Give Up a Cup. There you can pick what size you want to donate. Our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen, and Coast Guardsmen have fought valiantly to defeat tyranny and terror, and protect the liberties we hold most dear. Without them, we would have lost many important wars that would have affected our freedom and quality of life. They have kept our country strong and full of pride.
At Impact West GA we want to continue to serve our local veterans by continuing to provide free transportation to and from their healthcare appointments at the Trinka Davis VA clinic in Carrollton. The DESERVE van has helped hundreds of veterans who might not have been able to access much needed healthcare by providing them with free transportation. Many are elderly and mobility is difficult. DESERVE offers the answer. DESERVE is a double wheelchair accessible van partially funded through the Trinka Davis and the Community Foundation of West GA. Our drivers provide relief for loved ones who struggle getting them to their medical appointments. It is our pleasure to do so and with your help and support we can continue to provide free transportation to our veteran community.
Our biggest fundraiser for DESERVE, is a Gala that enhances the Give Up a Cup campaign, which will be held on November 08, 2018 at the WPA Center in Carrollton, Georgia at 6:00pm. You can still purchase a table for $300.00 that will seat eight people, just give Charlene a call at 770-834-4007. Local artists and businesses have donated items and we will have a silent auction that night. All proceeds from this event will support DESERVE and provide local veterans transportation to and from their healthcare appointments at Trinka Davis Clinic. You don’t want to miss this night of honoring these brave men. Mr. Harold Miles will be our speaker that night.
