Arleen Marsden, age 69, of Douglasville, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. She was born on April 16, 1954 in La Jolla, CA to the late Mr. James Moore and the late Mrs. Frances Moore.

Family was at the core of Arleen’s being, and she always made sure to stay connected with everyone. Not only did she keep up with her immediate family’s lives, but also extended her warmth and care to relatives near and far. Arleen’s love knew no bounds. Arleen had a great appreciation for good Louisiana cooking, especially creole cuisine. She was known for her genuine love and passion for horses. Generosity and kindness were two defining qualities that everyone attributed to Arleen. She had an innate ability to brighten someone’s day with her warm smile and uplifting spirit. Her kind heart led her to bless others by showering them with thoughtful gifts and gestures of goodwill without expecting anything in return. Furthermore, Arleen was known as someone who meticulously followed instructions.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son, James Edward Marsden.

She is survived by her husband, Mr. Charles Marsden of Douglasville; sister, Calista Moore of Tyler, TX; brother, James Moore of Prescott, AZ; several nieces and nephews; aunt, Evelyn of Fortier, TN.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held at Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall, 5405 Pine Valley Rd. Powder Springs, GA 30127 on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 2:00 PM.
