Kathleen Vaughn Lambert, age 80 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Monday, February 12, 2018. She was born May 7, 1937 in Villa Rica, Georgia, daughter to the late James Homer Vaughn and Martha Pope Vaughn.

She worked and retired from Carroll County School System as a special needs bus driver. She waited tables at Danyels Restaurant for many years and then owned and operated Kathy’s Kountry Kitchen restaurant in Villa Rica. She was an active member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, where she served as a youth leader, sang in the church choir, and drove the van for VBS. She also cooked for all occasions which included cooking for the brotherhood. She was famous for her lasagna and chocolate cake.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband of 44 years, Kenneth W. Lambert; and sisters, Shirley Walker and Sylvia McElroy.

She is survived by daughters, Sherry L. Wilson (W. Bryant) of Carrollton, Debora Wallace of Carrollton, and Kay Lambert Sweetalla of Bremen; sister, Martha Fowler of Abbeville, GA; two grandchildren, Nickie Williams of Villa Rica, GA and Tamra Jones of Bremen; and four great grandchildren, Jacee Williams, Jordyn Williams, Madison Jones and Ansley Jones.

Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM from Shady Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Ricky Shadrix and Pastor Mike Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
