Dorothy Ruth Mebane Hales, age 87 of Temple, Georgia passed away Friday, March 2, 2018.
Mrs. Hales was born on March 16, 1930, the daughter of the late Thomas Hill Mebane and Anna Belle Wingo Mebane. She was a loving mother who having raised her son, fostered three more generations of children, including her grandchildren and three of her great grandchildren. She put all her hope in Jesus, and lived a life that reflected his selfless and unconditional love in every aspect of her life. She worshipped and served God at Freedom Missionary Baptist (Temple, GA) since 1993, were she was a founding member.
Survivors include her son, Alan Frank Hales (Hope) of Bremen; grandchildren, April (Kevin) Davis, Lindsay Stafford, Uriah (Kayla) Hales, Brooke Warren, Jacob (Tracy) Hales; great grandchildren, Dylan, Cameron, Caitlin, Justin, Brittney, Christian, Taylor, Gabriel, Chassay, Tellie, Montana, Breanna, Ethan, Abbie, Riyah, Levi, Annabelle, Blake, Jake, Kodi, Laryssa,; great great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Lexie, Ava and many friends and loved ones. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Cecil Hales; brothers, Tom and Bill Mebane.
The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Funeral service will be Monday, March 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Bro. Shae Tallent officiating.
Mrs. Hales great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Interment will be in Forest Lawn Mausoleum in Anniston, Alabama at 2:30 p.m. EST.
