Tanner Ortho and Spine Center now offers a new, state-of-the-art approach to hip replacement, knee replacement and partial knee replacement procedures with the Stryker Mako robotic arm-assisted surgical system. This new technology enables surgeons to perform orthopedic surgery with a greater level of precision, providing patients with a quicker recovery with a more secure and longer-lasting joint replacement. Tanner is the only orthopedics provider in the region offering this state-of-the-art approach to care.
Gregory S. Slappey, MD, will lead a special information session on Thursday, April 12, from 6 to 7 p.m. The session will be held at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton in Classroom 2, at 705 Dixie Street. Complimentary valet parking will be available. A complimentary dinner will also be provided. Seating is limited.
Dr. Slappey’s Advancing Your Health Education session, “Introducing a New Option for Hip and Knee Pain,” will cover the treatment of issues related to severe joint pain and the benefits of robotic surgery.
This educational event, a part of Tanner Health System’s Advancing Your Health education series, will give participants the opportunity to learn about the latest surgical technology available from a certified specialist in orthopedic health.
Dr. Slappey is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Carrollton Orthopaedic Clinic and a member of the patient care team at Tanner Ortho and Spine Center.
