The 4th annual Carroll Chamber 8th Grade Career Expo, included over 1,600 middle schoolers from Bay Springs, Bowdon, Carrollton, Central, Mount Zion, Oak Mountain, Temple, and Villa Rica. The students had the opportunity to choose three pathways from a list of 23 careers, hearing from professionals from Nursing and Engineering to Business, Welding and the Military.
The two Fridays are held at the UWG Coliseum and School of Nursing, and at the WGTC Murphy Campus. The students heard from the presidents of UWG, WGTC and the Chamber, focused on how Carroll County is committed to the students’ future aspirations.
