Arthur Junior Boone, age 88 of Carrollton, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018. He was born June 28, 1929 in Carrollton, Georgia, son of the late James Sallie Boone and Sarah Cook Boone. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

He retired as a mechanic from Greyhound and later worked at the County Recycling Center.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Lenell Marlow Boone; son, Donnie Wayne McLeroy; grandson, Jeff Boone; and nephew, Barry Boone.

He is survived by his two sons, Arthur Tony Boone of Carrollton, and Johnny Charles Boone of Temple; brother, James Daniel Boone of Carrollton; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; ten grand children, fourteen great grandchildren, a number of great-great grandchildren; and niece Linda and Richard Koester.

Graveside service will be conducted Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 10:00 AM from Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel Friday, April 27, 2018 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
