Linda Lou Doede Peters, 61, of Carrollton, GA passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018.

Mrs. Peters was born in New London, Wisconsin on October 3, 1956, the daughter of the late Edwin August Doede and Renore Ida Reek. She was a 4-year Veteran of the United States Army and proudly served during the Cold War conflict. She met her husband of 35 years, Thomas Randell Peters, while they were both stationed in Hawaii in 1980. After the Army, Mrs. Peters worked in Finance and Insurance until she was able to retire home to her family when her children were in high school. Since then, she has worked tirelessly to maintain her home, family, and beloved cats and dogs.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Randell Peters; son, Gregory Thomas Peters; and daughter, Andrea Danielle Peters, all of Carrollton, GA. Survivors also include sister, Shirley Niemuth; brothers, David Doede, Kenneth Doede, Stanley Doede, and Gerald Doede, all of Weyauwega, Wisconsin. Mrs. Peters was preceded in death by her mother, father, and sister, Gloria Niemuth.

The Peters family will receive family members and friends at Almon Funeral Home and Chapel on Thursday, May 3, 2018, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m., followed by a remembrance service.

A graveside service and interment will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA with the U.S. Army Chaplain officiating.
