Bobby George Merrell, age 77 of Roopville, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018. He was born January 10, 1941 in Carroll County, Georgia, son of the late Bernard P. Merrell and Eunice Price Merrell.
He was a retired truck driver and timber buyer.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Michael Merrell; grandson, Timothy Merrell; and two brothers, James Merrell and John Merrell.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon May Merrell of Roopville; sons, Jeff (Toni) Merrell of Bowdon, and Scott Merrell of Franklin; daughter, Darby Merrell of Roopville; sister, Alice Barfield of Clem; brother, Charlie (Ann) Merrell of Carrabelle, FL; and four grandchildren, Jed Merrell, Matt Merrell, Aaron Merrell, and Johnathan Merrell.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, his body has been cremated and no service is planned at this time.
