Jennavie Brown Deese, age 82 of Carrollton, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018. She was born September 3, 1935 in Carroll County, daughter of the late C.W. Brown and Nina Octive Brown.

She worked as a seamstress and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Millard Deese Jr.; brother, Durwood Eugene Brown; son-in-law, Mike Ballentine; sister, Jessa Lee Lester; and nephews, Eddie Cook and Barry Hayes.

She is survived by her children, Sarah Deese of Bowdon, Sandra and Steve Pierce of Mt. Zion, Steve and Angela Deese of Douglasville, and Stanley and Tammy Deese of Woodland, AL; sister, Linda June Hays of Doraville, GA; ten grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM from Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Voyles officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Steven Deese, Matt Deese, Chad Ballentine, Joe Reese, Derek Crowe, and Barry Deese.

The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
