With the success of last year’s by-appointment open house for both Carrollton Elementary and Carrollton Middle School, the practice will continue this year while Carrollton Junior High and Carrollton High School will host traditional open houses.

Teachers at CES and CMS will schedule individual visits to the classroom for each child’s family rather than open the classroom to all at once. Once teachers receive their rosters for the new year, they will start contacting families to schedule the appointments. Parents should call the school if they have not heard from their child’s teacher by July 21.

Open house at CES will be held on two days:

* Pre-K and kindergarten appointments will be scheduled for Friday, July 27, between 1 and 7 p.m.

* First through third grade appointments will be scheduled on Monday, July 30, also from 1 to 7 p.m.

Open house appointments at CMS will be held Tuesday, July 31, from 1 to 7 p.m.

Interpreters will be available at both schools on those dates to assist with oral and written information for our non-English-speaking families.

Other parent open houses will follow their regular formats:

CJHS – Tuesday, July 31, from 5 to 7 p.m.

CHS – Monday, Aug. 6, at 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event begins in the Mabry Center for the Arts with a short welcome and then parents will transition to the school to meet teachers. Open house at CHS is set after the start of school because of potential scheduling changes. CHS students would have received their original schedules July 24 on Trojan Business Day.
