Quinton B. Harper, age 74 of Roopville, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018. He was born May 30, 1944 in Newnan, Georgia, son of the late Buren Harper and Earleen Huff Harper.
He retired after many years of working in construction as an electrician and was a member of IBEW local #613.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carlette Malcom Harper; brother, Jimmy Harper; and sister, Joyce Neal. He is survived by his children, Scott and Lisa Harper of Newnan, Brian and Renea Harper of Newnan, John and Kristy Ivey of Senoia, Sharon Rutledge of Acworth, Crystal and Jeremy Harcrow of Roopville, and Josh Harper of Carrollton; grandchildren, Jessalyn and Jon Haake of ST. Augustine, FL, Corey Harper of Newnan, Katie Howington of Hampton, GA, Courtney and Elliot Blevins of Gay, GA, Christian Howell of Roopville, Hunter Harper of Hampton, GA, Izabella Harcrow of Roopville, Austin Harper of Hampton, GA, and Zane Rutledge of Acworth, GA; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Diedra Thompson of Carrollton, and Sandra McCoy of Kennesaw; and close family friend and long-term caregiver, Kelli Wright of Bowdon.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM from Unity Baptist Church with Rev. Randy King officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
