Douglasville, Ga- Douglas County’s Department of Multi-Modal Transportation Services has unveiled a new brand identity and logo for the services formerly offered as RideShare. “Connect Douglas” is now the new name for all services previously offered by Rideshare. “The name Rideshare has served us well for almost thirty years,” Director Gary Watson said. “However, we decided that we need a name that better fits our mission, which is to connect area residents to all the places they need to go, such as the doctor, pharmacy, grocery store, work and business.”
The new logo contains a large swirl of connecting paths and echoes the connectivity the program will continue to offer citizens. The bright blue and green palette is modern and represents the positive environmental benefits of commuting like improved air and water quality. Designed during the Rebranding and Education Campaign conducted by The Collaborative Firm, LLC, the new brand name and logo will be featured on all communications beginning this fall and will be gradually placed on the vehicles.
To mark the official launch of the new Connect Douglas brand, the Department of Multi-Modal Transportation Services is hosting an Open House on Tuesday, October 23rd at the Transportation Center. The community is invited to attend anytime from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. to get a first-hand look at the new vehicles, enjoy refreshments, and the chance to win door prizes. The Douglas County Transportation Center is located at 8800 Dorris Road in Douglasville, Ga.
The Connect Douglas brand name and logo can be viewed on the county’s official website, www.celebratedouglascounty.com.
