Ruta Sepetys, a New York Times #1 best-selling author, visited a Carrollton High School Pre-AP World Literature class Wednesday via Skype for a private question-and-answer symposium to share her writing journey in creating historical fiction in the emerging young adult and adult reading genre.
Sepetys is a part of the Reading Round the Clock Literacy Author series that teachers David Bryson and Rosie Grubbs are facilitating to connect in-class reading/writing to the real voices of the authors students love.
Sepetys’ works have been published in more than 50 countries and in 36 languages. Pictured are members of the class who all pose, along with Sepetys on the screen behind them, for a group photo.
