Jean Campbell Smith, age 9l of Carrollton, Georgia, formerly of Endicott, New York, passed away at home on November 9, 2018.  She was a graduate of Binghamton City Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1948.  She was former Deacon, Bell Ringer, and dedicated church member of Union Presbyterian Church in Endicott, New York.

She was best known for her passion for life and the ability to get the job done.  Shared her love of the game of Canasta with all her children and grandchildren; her love of Cross Words, especially the Sunday Times, will not be forgotten; as well as, the famous Christmas Day puzzle; and her beautiful gardens; her love of birds; and that every one that knew her could spell “Susquehanna”.  Her Earthly Body is gone, but her Spirit has Eternal Life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Raymond Smith; her parents, Julian and Viola Campbell; and her granddaughter, Elizabeth M. Gray.  Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sally & Marty Prince of Carrollton, Georgia; her son, Christopher Smith; grandsons: Eric Reed and wife, Justine Dalke, of Atlanta, Georgia and Chris Dickerson and his wife, Cortlan Dickerson, of Carrollton, Georgia; great grandchildren: Fannar, Bradley, and Oskar Gray of Iceland; her twin sister and brother-in-law, Jane & William Smith of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and her brother and sister-in-law, Bruce & Marl Campbell of Anchorage, Alaska.

In keeping with her wishes, the body will be cremated and no services are planned.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to www.dementiasociety.org/donate  or to the Hospice Care Unit of your choice.
