First Annual “Snow Ball” to be held at Oak Lawn in Carrollton -

THE SNOW BALL

The First Annual “Snow Ball” will be held at the beautiful Oak Lawn in historic Carrollton on January 12th, 2019. Join us in your cocktail attire as you are transported to a winter wonderland with fun and fundraising.

We will raise the funds necessary for the WGAF to significantly aﬀect our community in 2019 and beyond by:

1. Promoting autism awareness;

2. Educating the community about autism related issues; and

3. Providing financial support to qualifying families who cannot aﬀord to provide treatment, counseling, or other critical services for their children with autism.

In addition to raising private funds, some of our talented grant specialists will be diligently seeking and obtaining grants to families to help with unique expenses related to autism issues. 1 in 52 boys born in Georgia will be diagnosed with autism. This staggering number aﬀects everyone. Many children with autism will grow up and not be independent. The funds raised at this event will greatly benefit the West Georgia community, and all those aﬀected by autism.

This is also going to be fun, as all fundraisers should be. We will have live music by Jerry Rogers, excellent food, silent and live auctions, and we have the honor of having Cade Parian doing our live auction. In addition to Mr. Parian, we are honored to have well known author, speaker, and autism warrior, Michael Haigwood Goodroe, as a special guest for this event. He is the author of the book “What Autism Gave Me: A Devastating Diagnosis To A Triumphant Life” and the most well known public figure who is autistic.

Lastly, the little guy who inspired the formation of the WGAF, Jason “Jake” W. Swindle Jr., is currently working on remarks he would like to give to all the people who are helping people like him.
