Richard E. Entrekin, age 83, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018.

Richard was born in Fulton County, Georgia on August 17, 1935, the son of the late Paul Entrekin and Grace Craven Entrekin. Richard retired from Georgia Power after working 34 years and later worked for Carroll County for 20 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton for 49 years before moving to Canton, Georgia in 2017.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Holloway Entrekin, to whom he was married for 63 years; one daughter, Kathy Entrekin Duncan (married to Robert Duncan); three grandchildren, Christian Davis (married to Sara Davis), Rachel Davis and one step granddaughter, Michelle Duncan (married to John Petzold). He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be Friday, December 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton with Dr. Steve Davis and Mr. Larry Camp officiating.

The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton, Friday from 1 p.m. until the service hour.

Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan, Georgia.
