January 9, 2019 – Savannah, GA – Savannah Riverkeeper’s ninth annual coastal-area oyster roast will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 6:00 pm, once again at Hogan’s Marina on Wilmington Island.
Attendees will enjoy an abundance of fresh, local seafood including lowcountry cluster oysters from Bluffton Oyster Co. and a lowcountry boil with wild-caught Georgia shrimp and Savannah-made Roger Wood smoked sausage. Craft beer on the menu will include brews from Service, Moon River, Southbound, Coastal Empire brewing companies. For fun, there will be live music by the Flying Bacon Cheeseburgers from Tybee Island, raffle including a kayak, and auction items from local businesses.
Roast tickets are $50/person or $80/couple for entry and dinner, with drinks included. VIP tickets and tables are also available and include a sunset boat ride from Bull River Cruises with the Savannah Riverkeeper before the event with open bar and appetizers on board, plus an honorary one-year Savannah Riverkeeper membership. Current members get special discounts.
This casual, on-the-water event is a fundraiser for Savannah Riverkeeper, benefiting efforts to restore, protect, and educate the entire Savannah River basin.
