Michael Anthony Kendrick, age 63 of Carrollton, passed away January 31, 2019. He was born December 8, 1955 in Heard County, Georgia, son of the late Albert Glenn Kendrick and Velma Louise Turley Kendrick.
He worked for Paulding County Water Authority for more than 11 years and was a member of Riverside Church in Franklin, Georgia. He enjoyed going to church, listening to old southern gospel music, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He loved his family and friends dearly but most of all he loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He is preceded in death by both his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Chandler Kendrick of Carrollton; his children, Christopher (Christy) Kendrick of Temple, Anthony Kendrick, Brett Kendrick, and Daniel (Kristen) Kendrick all of Carrollton; sister, Angela (Merrell) Harcrow; brothers, Harvey (Debbie) Kendrick, Rodney (Janet) Kendrick, and Mark Kendrick; grandchildren, Christin Kendrick, Hannah Kendrick, Kaylin Kendrick, Madison Kendrick, Brettney Kendrick, Brooklyn Kendrick, Hunter Kendrick, Haylee Kendrick, and Hayden Kendrick; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Antioch Baptist Church in Franklin with Mr. Daniel Kendrick, Rev. Micah Williams, Rev. Cecil Davis and Rev. Dale Jones officiating. His body will be placed at the church at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carl Williams, Andrew Kendrick, Nick Kendrick, Daniel Kendrick, Brett Kendrick, Benjamin Harcrow, Brandon Harcrow, Merrell Harcrow and Rickey Wood.
The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel Friday, February 1, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org in his name.
