(Carrollton, Ga., February 27, 2019). More than 1,100 of Georgia’s best and brightest middle school students recently traveled to the beautiful FFA-FCCLA Center in Covington, Ga. to attend the 2019 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference.

Participants from Mt. Zion Middle School attended the conference to enhance their business skills, expand their networks, and participate in business-related competitive events and workshops such as “Minute to Win It.”

The following participants from Mt. Zion Middle School placed in the top 10 in the state and received medals: Kaitlen Chard and Jasmine Becerra (group event): 6th in Computer Slideshow; Caleb Morse: 9th in Career Exploration and 10th in Digital Citizenship; and Addie Smith, Jasmine Becerra, and Kaitlen Chard (group event): 10th in Invention Convention.

The students in attendance were: Caleb Morse, Hunter Munro, Nathan Cowart, Uriah Acord, Carlos Bello, Alexa McCarty, Elizabeth Becerra, Jasmine Becerra, Kaitlen Chard, Addie Smith, Makylee Ayers, Victoria Harris, Alisha Garcia, Paige Julien, and Jenni Bade. The FBLA adviser is Tewanna Brown.
