The results are in for the March 19 Special Election in Villa Rica and the city council seat for Ward 2 has been filled.
Matthew Momtahan defeated Cheryl Bell for a term in the position. Momthan received 154 votes, or 66.96 percent of the vote, while Bell received 75 votes, or 32.61 percent of the vote.
Of the 2,289 eligible voters in the ward, 230 cast a vote in the election.
