Access to specialized women’s care continues to expand throughout the region as Jennifer Marshalek, DO, joins the patient care team at West Georgia OB/GYN.
Dr. Marshalek is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She earned her degree in osteopathic medicine from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, and completed her internship and residency in obstetric and gynecological surgery at Metro Health Hospital, an affiliate of University of Michigan Health.
Dr. Marshalek is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She has received training for a range of minimally invasive surgeries and procedures, including minimally invasive hysterectomies, endometrial ablations, diagnostic laparoscopies, vaginal prolapse repair and more.
At Tanner, Dr. Marshalek will have privileges to deliver care in the maternity center and surgical services center at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton.
As an advocate for women’s health and wellness, Dr. Marshalek has been dedicated to the communities she’s served. She has served at annual Women’s Health Day events, helping provide physical exams, screening lab work, Pap tests and mammograms to women in need. She has also taught early-year OB/GYN medical students at The Commonwealth Medical College in Pennsylvania, lectured on women’s health and helped organize community events for women’s and children’s initiatives.
At West Georgia OB/GYN, Dr. Marshalek joins the patient care team of Amy Goss, MD, Megan Grilliot, MD, and Joan Zeller, MD, offering a wide scope of women’s care services to women throughout the region.
