Marsha Lee Wassam age 70, of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019.

Ms. Wassam was born in Miami, Florida on October 16, 1948, the daughter of the late Leeland F. Hunt and Mary Alice Greer Hunt. She lived in many different places in the United States and Europe during her career in the United States Army, working in the Mental Health Division, where she retired after 20 years of service. She obtained her Bachelors in Sociology from West Georgia College, spoke fluent German and was a classically trained pianist from a young age.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Peter Debick of Carrollton and a grandson David Jackson. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Almon Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the City of Light, 3125 Presidential Pkwy, Atlanta GA 30340 with Rev. Dr. Paul Graetz officiating.

Inurnment will be held at a later date in Miami Memorial Park, Miami, Florida.
